S-217: Drupal Multiple HTML Vulnerabilities

[Security Focus 28026]

March 4, 2008 15:00 GMT

PROBLEM: Drupal is prone to multiple HTML-injection vulnerabilities because it fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied input data.
PLATFORM: Drupal 6.0
DAMAGE: Execute script code.
SOLUTION: Upgrade to the appropriate version.

VULNERABILITY
ASSESSMENT:
The risk is MEDIUM. Attacker-supplied HTML and script code would execute in the context of the affected site, potentially allowing the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials or to control how the site is rendered to the user; other attacks are also possible.
